Presenting to you… Army, a ‘soon to be released’ ensemble from Meghindo’s.
Here is the basis of the ensemble– an army green tuxedo jacket that is paired with a chainlink loose top and a pair of green, low waist pants. As always with Meghindo’s clothing you get options such as great sleeve detail (with or without buttons as well as a slightly flared lower sleeve), great prim buttons (top and bottom buttons) and two prim options for the pants (flared and slightly tapered). Oh, I can’t forget the accessories. You get green suede buttoned booties, classic buttoned pumps, and a brown leather bag (with pose animation). This is one set you will want to get ladies– seriously!
New styles from Ambergris Deadly Fashions. Peep this cute and flirty dress called Oh Sheila!
It features a sparkling bodice and a rose applique. The semi-sheer skirt is bouncy, flouncy, and perfect for all your cocktail parties. The cute bow on the backside gives a touch of sweetness to the whole look.
Oh Sheila! is available at the Ambergris Deadly Fashions main store and in the new items area. Take a visit to Ambergris Deadly Fashions and see all the great looks!
Have you been to DCNY lately? If not, you are missing out on some really well-made and forward fresh fashions. A few months ago, the store “rebranded” itself. Same name, but new textures and new direction. The results are wonderful. I really love the look and style of all the new releases.
When the fabulous blogger Achariya sent me an IM about her latest blogger challenge, I was psyched. In essence, the challenge is to style a ‘head to toe’ look with “vintage” (meaning no longer around) fashions. Interestingly enough, I did a post on the same topic just a few weeks ago. Even though I have been purging all my 2007-2009 fashions, I found a few hidden treasures waiting to be shared!
It was hard to do just one look so I did three, lol. Special thanks to Achariya for encouraging me to take part in this. I hope I do ya proud!
Look #1: Going Retro with Miriel
I loved Miriel and was sad when it closed. The jewelry was made well, with such intricate design work. I recall this place because it was where I purchased my first real pieces of SL jewelry. Before Miriel closed, hair, clothing, and eyes were added to the store. I have the fat pack of this dress and REFUSE to give it up!
Look #2: Making My Avatar Savvy
Wow, putting this look together really took me down memory lane. First off, the earrings (which you can see better in the second pic below) are from a place called Second Mirage. The jewels were unique and interesting. I can remember always going there whenever new items were available. I adored the hair over at Frangipani, far more than the clothing. I always drooled over the accessories over at Miam Miam and was DEVASTATED when it closed. I do hope Chloris gets back to doing accessories again soon.
The outfit itself is from Savvy and I liked the stylish, polished look of all the clothing there. Of course Dakota Buck went on from that venture to do what we all know now as Whippet & Buck. When the “Another Skins” (Eloh Elliott) hit the grid, everyone went beserk. Well there was a major fundraiser back in 2008 that was based on these skins. The skin I am wearing was Alaska Metropolitan’s contribution to that event– the Yasmin skin.
Look #3: Exploring The Grid in ETD
Besides hair ETD also did fabulous clothing, shoes, and accessories. I am happy to say that I have held on to most of my ETD inventory. While I do enjoy the new styles and re-brand of [e], nothing beats the classic styles of ETD. This store helped me developed my hair fetish, lol. I have followed Rosemary G. from her first store– Oh! What Neat Boutique. I watched her bloom as she ventured into skins and I served as a guinea pig early on (LOL). The skin I am wearing is from a retired line of M&R Cupcakes, which was the precursor to what we now know as Cupcakes.
My mole is by Love Aya, which I believe is no longer on the grid. The only items available in-world are my eyes (OutRage) and lashes (Kosh). Sorry Ach, couldn’t part with them, lol.
In the RL, I am not a huge fan of Mexican food. But in SL, I practically devour the tasty treats known as Salsa!. Luckily for me, its not the kind you eat but the kind you wear.
Elsa and Sal, the quirky folks behind the Salsa! brand, make some of the most hysterical attachments, the most hip accessories, and in between all of that some pretty cool clothing too. Whimsical tees, bold shirts, and hip-ish dresses, all for women and for men too. Below are some great find for the not-so-serious-about-themselves fashionista. Head on over today and get a full serving of the best Salsa! in SL!

Just a quick post before I have to run off to work. I have had these looks sitting in my folders for a few days. It is about time to set them loose, eh? Feeling kinda dark and gloomy– maybe its the weather– so its the perfect day to show you fashions from Concrete Flowers, Magika, /and Axel.
GRUNGE GAL: The focal point here is this cute skirt from Concrete Flowers. It was a previous in-store dollarbie. Cute accessories, such as the socks from Edge Graficia and sneakers from Snatch, give this grungy look a touch of sexy!
SINISTER SIDESHOW ARTIST: Skulls can be scary, but /Axel has found a way to make them incredibly cute and fashionable. Paired with wide leg cords, also from /Axel, and dramatic makeup from Cupcakes and I am the perfect addition to this freaky big top show!
DELICIOUSLY DARK ANGEL: Sugar, spice, and everything that’s sorta not nice. This outfit wa pulled together with some terrific sale items from SWA and Magika. The bright pop of color up top balances the dark and mysterious feel of the outfit.
A blog where i tell where i get all my goodies in Second Life and show them off in nice pictures ;) Sl is a fun place where there are a lot of nice clothing! So join me, Aaiyana Silverfall, and explore! :D
