Adventures In Boystown

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Get your minds out the gutter, this is a PG post! ūüėÄ

So my glamorous SL sis, Gladiola Mistwallow- Bodenhall hit me with an IM last week.

“Sis, you gotta come out and hang with the boys.”

I was naked in my sky studio wondering what she was talking about. And then she said, “Get dressed and make it fierce Sis. You gotta be fierce!”

I knew it would be a fun night.

I ended up putting on my sexy fuchsia dress from Meghindo’s with the matching stilettos. I tossed on my diva “Diana Ross” hair ala Iconic’s latest release, Nadine. Honey, I was a fierce as they come. Well except for my Sis that is. LOL.

I spent the night rocking out to hot tunes and looking at some sexy ‘boys’ over at the Blu Dance Bar. I met the sweetest go-go boy, Nicky Patrono. He can really shake his stuff! With the music coming from DJ Zann it wasn’t too hard. Woo hoo, I danced from the minute I hit the club.

In true Diva fashion, my Sis and I were the only women there. We knew that would be the case and we loved it! Stress free fun, great music, and rippling muscles for days! As I said to Gladi, I love a good piece of eye candy ūüôā

Of course, I couldn’t share all the photos cuz you know some things you just have to experience. If you want your own adventure in boyland, head on over to Blu Dance Bar. The fellas are warm, welcoming, and a heap of fun!!

In Awe and Wonder!

Every now and then, I venture off into SL and experience something different. Take in a musical act. Explore a new sim. Well today was one of those days. I spent some time hanging out with Alice in Wonderland– literally!

The Dramatiques Performance Troupe, which is an SL group founded by dance enthusiasts, has a new performance out based on Alice in Wonderland. In short, the performance is inspired by Lewis Carroll’s novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel, Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There.

Dellissa Kozlov (SL) is the lead dancer than portrays Alice as a 19-year old, who returns to Wonderland after 13 years. Alice is the only person that can slay the evil Jabberwocky, who is controlled by the Red Queen and who terrorizes Wonderland’s residents. You will see Alice, The White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter, and so much more!

Now poor blogger me, I couldn’t get any pictures as doing so would have made me crash instantly. But luckily¬† you can view the official trailer over at YouTube. Below is the official performance poster.

I liked this performance for several reasons:

1) The scenes were amazing! Every times the scene (background) changed, the whole theater changed with it.
2) The story line was easy to follow and all in audio.
3) I LOVED the musical score… so evoking and delightful to the senses.
4) The event was “limited” which meant you needed reservations. Along with the mandatory “low arc” count, it made for an all around pleasurable experience.

So how do YOU get to see this wonderful performance? Visit The Dramatiques Performance Troupe website. You will find the calendar of upcoming performances and instructions on how to reserve your spot.¬† I *HIGHLY* suggest you make time to attend this event. It would make a great “family” outing or a cute first date! Go with someone or go alone— just go!

A Week‚Äôs Worth: G&N Quality Design (Tuesday)

Welcome to the Tuesday installment of ‚ÄúA Week‚Äôs Worth‚Ä̂Ķ

When you shop at G&N Quality Design, you can find a little bit of everything. From casual to sporty, formal to chic, there is something there for every fashion taste. With two floors of wall to wall clothing, you can definitely spend a lazy SL afternoon just shopping! Over the weekend I stopped by to see the latest releases. There was one that kept calling my name, so of course I had to answer!

This ensemble is called the Bonita Pant Set. It comes with the Shirt, High-Waist Pant, Sculpted Sleeves, and Scarf. The price is just as attractive at only 100L. This is the Pink set; however there is a Gold set (with red pants). Can’t go wrong either way!

To make this look complete, I added these sexy boots from Kalnins and even sexier hair from Iconic. A smart look with flair and attitude, great for a night out with friends.

In Review: Ticky Tacky

As you have probably noticed, I received a lot of review packs lately especially from places that are new to me. ¬†Yet, I was surprised¬†to receive a pack from Narita¬†Rayna¬†of Ticky¬†Tacky. I have been buying from her store since it first opened. Truthfully, I already have a “huge” stash of purchased items from Ticky Tacky, but now I have more :). YAY!¬†¬†

Below are a recent Saturday Night Fevah offering (9/18) and a nice set for the Silent Lion Troupe event. The Crimson Hunter set is available for 75L, each piece.  The picture does not do it justice as it really is a lovely piece!

From Ticky Tacky, Silent Lion Troupe, Earrings and Necklace (The Hunter- Crimson) | Hair by Vanity | Skin by LeLutka | Clothing by Snatch

In addition, I am showing items from¬†Ticky¬†Tacky’s “Gatcha¬†Gatcha” machine, and goodies from the recent Bacchanal event.¬†¬†If I recall correctly, Narita¬†was one of the few “early adopters”¬†of resizers in her jewelry. Of course, ever one does it now. But that was one feature I always¬†loved about her jewels and it kept me going back.¬†

From the Ticky Tacky Gatcha Gatcha Machines, Earrings and Braclets (Nina Knows How To Party), from the Bacchanal event, Brooch (Death or Glory) | Hair by Vanity | Skin by LeLutka | Clothing by Snatch

From the Bacchanal event, Ticky Tacky Earrings (My Girl Likes to Grapple) and Necklace (Sanctified Necklace) | Skin & Hair by LeLutka | Clothing by Snatch

Overall, I think her styles are fun, a bit quirky, and definitely attention grabbing. Sometimes a bit punk and goth, other times very classy and contemporary. Her shop is definitely for someone who like to reinvent themselves on a daily basis and needs jewels to keep up!

All of these items above are available at her mainstore, located on Gaylord (Starlust). If you have not been to Ticky Tacky, I do urge you to go and visit. The jewels are unique and the pricing is reasonable too.
