Nights Over Egypt

Time to get ready for another fair– this time with ethnic flair. Starting tomorrow (June 11) at 1 PM SLT, the Accessory Fair 2011 kicks off with the theme of Ancient Egypt: Discover the Treasures. This event supports Relay For Life (RFL) and features over forty of SL’s top accessories designers, spread across two sims.

According to the official press release, one sim is a “lush oasis with a bustling marketplace atmosphere and richly appointed, detailed shops surrounding a bricked-in area with an adventurous secret”. The second sim is said to be “inspired by archeological digs”. Many of the designers will  sell “exclusive items” along with gifts as well. Most of them will feature creations with an Egyptian-theme and all proceeds will benefit RFL in SL.

Split Pea will be a part of Accessory Fair 2011 and will offer several unique “head wear” items. You can catch a sneak peak right here!

And speaking of Egypt, I grew up listening to The Jones Girls sing “Nights Over Egypt”.  Since there is no official video for the original song, at least not one I could find, I thought I would share this awesome remake!
